We're looking for an experienced and passionate Thrive Practitioner to join our team and help students develop the social, emotional and behavioural skills they need to access learning, build positive relationships and achieve their potential.
Your Role
As our Thrive Practitioner, you'll support the day-to-day running of the Thrive provision, working closely with the Head of Care, pastoral team and wider staff team to embed the Thrive Approach across the college.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering 1:1, small-group and class-based Thrive sessions
- Completing Thrive Online assessments and developing action plans for identified students
- Supporting students' social, emotional and behavioural development
- Providing therapeutic interventions in collaboration with the Head of Care and therapeutic team
- Modelling Thrive, PACE, Emotional Coaching and restorative practices across the college
- Providing training, guidance and support to staff to help embed Thrive approaches throughout the service
About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and committed to helping students achieve positive outcomes through inclusive, nurturing practice.
Essential Qualifications
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
- Thrive Practitioner qualification or currently working towards it
- Excellent IT skills with confidence using a range of digital platforms and technologies
- PRICE trained or willing to undertake training
Essential Experience
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures
- Experience supporting young people with SEN, ADHD and ASD
- Knowledge of social and emotional development and attachment theory
- Experience working with young people who may display challenging behaviours
- Experience working within an educational setting
- Experience delivering nurture, social skills or SEN-focused interventions
- Experience supervising groups of students
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
