Join the Team at Aurora Ryefields: A New Special School in Derby!

Are you a passionate teacher with a specialism in Science or Maths who wants to make a real difference to the lives of young people?

Ryefields is a purpose-built age 5 to 19 school in Derby, dedicated to providing exceptional education for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Our mission is to create a safe, nurturing and ambitious environment where every child can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative teacher to join our growing team and help shape an ambitious, inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled teacher with a specialism in Science or Maths who can inspire curiosity, build confidence and support pupils to achieve their potential.

While your subject expertise will be an important part of the role, you will also be expected to teach across the wider curriculum. We are therefore looking for someone who is flexible, creative and committed to delivering engaging, high-quality teaching that meets the diverse needs of our pupils.

You will adapt learning to individual needs, build positive relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to promote academic progress, independence and emotional wellbeing.

What We're Looking For

· QTS/QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, as applicable.

· A specialism in Science or Maths, with a willingness to teach across the wider curriculum.

· A commitment to high expectations, inclusive teaching and pupil achievement.

· An interest in, or experience of, supporting pupils with ASC and SEMH needs.

· A flexible approach, strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.

· A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Why Join Ryefields?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing school, contribute to its curriculum and ethos, and make a lasting difference to pupils' lives. You will be part of a dedicated team committed to helping every young person achieve meaningful progress and prepare for a successful future.
