Computing, Design and Technology Curriculum Lead – Shape Learning, Inspire Futures

Here at Aurora Mansfield, we're looking for an ambitious and experienced Computing, Design and Technology Curriculum Lead to provide strategic leadership across Computing, Design Technology and Food & Nutrition for learners aged 7–19.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape an ambitious, inclusive curriculum that develops digital literacy, technical and practical skills, creativity, problem-solving and independence, while preparing learners for adulthood, further education and employment.

 

A Role with Real Impact

You'll lead the development and quality assurance of the curriculum, ensuring clear progression across all pathways and that learning is appropriately designed around learners' individual needs, aspirations and starting points.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading curriculum development, planning and evaluation
  • Monitoring assessment, progress and outcomes
  • Ensuring effective curriculum progression across pathways
  • Undertaking learning walks, lesson visits and curriculum reviews
  • Supporting colleagues through coaching, mentoring and professional development
  • Overseeing qualification pathways and accreditation
  • Promoting practical, vocational and real-world learning opportunities

 

 

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with:

  • QTS
  • Significant experience teaching Computing, Design Technology and/or Food & Nutrition
  • Experience of curriculum or subject leadership
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum progression, assessment and pedagogy
  • A strong understanding of SEND and inclusive practice
  • The ability to analyse data, lead improvement and develop colleagues
  • A commitment to achieving high expectations and positive outcomes for all learners

 

Knowledge of relevant qualifications such as GCSE Computing, Food & Nutrition or Design Technology, and a relevant leadership qualification, would be desirable.
